Three generations connected by craftsmanship.
The Alvarez family’s connection to denture work began before the clinic opened its doors.
About 55 years ago, Dan’s father moved the family to Canada and worked as a dental laboratory technician. During his school summers, Dan spent time with him at the office and discovered both a natural ability and a genuine interest in making things by hand.
That early experience became a career. Dan pursued Denturism at George Brown College, graduated in 1989 and built an independent practice around careful work and personal relationships.
The tradition continues today. Dan’s son also spent summers at the clinic and now works alongside him as the laboratory technician. Alvarez Denture Clinic remains proudly family owned and operated.

Dan Alvarez graduated from the Denturism program at George Brown College in 1989 and has spent his career in private practice.
Kind, patient and deeply invested in his work, Dan takes time to understand what each person is experiencing. He refines the details that influence comfort, function and appearance, then remains available for adjustments and follow-up care long after delivery.
That same patience and maker’s instinct carries into his life outside the clinic. In his free time, Dan enjoys caring for fish ponds and aquariums and building detailed model airplanes.
