Eligibility

Am I Eligible?

You may qualify for the CDCP if all four of these requirements apply to you.

  • You do not have access to private dental insurance.
  • You and your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, have filed your Canadian tax returns.
  • Your adjusted family net income is below $90,000.
  • You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.

Denture care

Does CDCP Cover Dentures?

The plan may cover several forms of removable denture care when CDCP requirements are met.

  • Complete dentures
  • Partial dentures
  • Denture repairs
  • Relines
  • Rebases
  • Some temporary or immediate dentures

Some treatments require approval from the CDCP before treatment begins. The clinic will discuss any known requirements with you.

Understanding costs

How Much Will I Pay?

Your CDCP contribution is based on adjusted family net income and applies to the CDCP-established fee for eligible services.

$70,000–$79,99960%

CDCP coverage of the CDCP-established fee.

$80,000–$89,99940%

CDCP coverage of the CDCP-established fee.

CDCP coverage does not always mean your treatment will be completely free.

The CDCP uses its own established fees, which may be different from the clinic's fees. Depending on your coverage and treatment, you may still have an amount to pay. We will help you understand expected costs before treatment begins.

Can I use CDCP for new dentures?

Yes. Eligible complete and partial dentures may be covered depending on CDCP requirements.

Are denture repairs covered?

Many eligible denture repairs are covered.

Are denture relines covered?

Eligible relines and rebases may be covered.

Are implant-supported dentures covered?

Implant-supported dentures and implant procedures are generally not covered by the CDCP.

Will I have to pay anything?

Possibly. The amount depends on income, CDCP coverage, the service provided and any difference between CDCP-established fees and clinic fees.

Do I apply through Alvarez Denture Clinic?

No. CDCP applications and eligibility are handled by the Government of Canada.
